About us

Cripps Recreation Centre was built in 1974 for the staff of Northampton General Hospital (NGH), with funds generously donated by Sir Cyril Cripps and the Cripps Foundation.

We have become the largest purpose-built sports and social club on an NHS site, which offers membership access to all healthcare economy employees, connecting services and the local community.

With a range of activities for all ages from swimming to badminton and fitness classes to personal training, we pride ourselves on our family orientated approach and our aim to provide our customers with facilities that are safe, clean and welcoming.
